DIY FAUX FUR BAG

Learning to sew? This is a fun, easy sewing project for the intermediate sewer interested in making a fashionable bag made of fuzzy faux fur. Feel free to substitute with any other fabric of your choice, like cotton canvas, denim, or corduroy and add a fun print lining!

Supplies you’ll need:

1. One yard of a light-weight faux fur fabric

2. One yard of satin lining

3. Download pattern below

4. Rotary cutter, cutting mat, and weights to hold down pattern

5. Clear ruler, pencil

6. Straight stitch sewing machine

7. Needle & thread

8. Snaps

PATTERN: Download pattern in 4 parts. Print on letter size paper at 100% scale. You will then tape the 4 parts together to form one pattern for this 12 3/4” x 12 3/4” bag. Follow directions on pattern pieces and watch video below for further instructions.

Strap (no pattern piece needed): cut one strap along length grain that’s 4” wide x 37” long
