Another style of fashion sketching is Flat Sketching, when a designer draws a garment flat. Most fashion illustrations are on a figure, but then each design needs to be draw flat with front & back views and all technical details, such as buttons, seams, and pockets.

Supplies you’ll need:

  1. Sketchbook

  2. Pencil or fine-tip Sharpie

  3. The 9-head fashion figure template for tracing

  4. Grey marker for shadows (optional)
